A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #60 Meets Little Doraline

Morning all, hope I find you all well today! Those rain clouds that I was on about yesterday never did actually empty themselves LOL, but it remained overcast all day. I wish the sun would come out to play :o( Anyway’s I’m , looking forward to the weekend as I have a trip planned to North Wales to see me Dad, really can’t wait for the break and to breath in some sea air :o)………mmmmm bless

Today’s card is for SFS challenge, which is a fab sketch, I also thought I would turn it into a Motivet DT card too. Look at that cheeky little Doraline, tucking into those apples, hee hee, she is just adorable. The apples I have coated with Diamond Glaze to make them nice and rosie, but I don’t think the camera has picked it up, oh well. All the flowers have been glimmer misted and the distressed with old Paper Distress Ink. I have stitched the watercolour card and it has given it a look of fabric, and I love it.

For everyone that asked about it yesterday, the brand is Daler-Rowney Aquafine Georgian 250grm watercolour paper. It’s the whitest that I have found so far {doesn’t look it in the picture, cos I have distress it, I now go figure LOL} and it is quite course, almost like canvass, but it is very forgiving and if you make a mistaken you can easily correct it.

007
For this card I have used :

Image – Motivet Doraline with Apples coloured with Distress Inks
Papers – PM Regency
Flowers – Hobby Craft and Wild Orchid Craft
Pearls – PM
Pins – In Stock Here
Pearl Trim – Strash
Tools – Sewing Machine, Martha Stewart Flourish Punch and Leom Em Punch

005
Here is a close up of the flowers, I just this vintage flowers, and when you spray them with glimmer mist, they just twinkle away…..so pretty!

006
Anways that’s all for today, thanks for stopping by and thanks for all your divine comments. Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow as a new challenge at Just Magnolia starts. Don't forget to join in the Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge too.

Enjoy your day folks!

Friday Sketchers Challenge #60 – Meets Motivet DT Card

Morning peeps, hope that you are all fighting fit today! The rain clouds are all in position today for us, so just waiting for the down pour to beginning LOL……oh what happened to all the sunshine we had, I thought that we were in for a good summer, lets hope August is better, eh?

Today I want to share with you a cards that I did for this weeks Friday Sketchers, which is sponsored by Motivet Stamps, so I thought perfect opportunity to incorporate the sketch into one of my DT cards for Motivet too. This little cutie chappy that I have used is called “Dexter on a Bike”……..isn’t he just a sweetie! He has been coloured with distress inks, on some new watercolour card that I have recently bought. I love working on white watercolour card, and most of the time it is quite creamy looking, but after having a good old scout round, and a little word with my pal Bev, I managed to get some. It is quite a rough one though, I think Bev's is smoother, but I like it, it almost has the look of fabric, especially when it is stitched, which I will show you in tomorrows card.

008
For this card I have used:

Image – Motivet Dexter on a Bike coloured with Distress Inks
Papers – DCWV edged distressed with Old Paper and Frayed Burlap
Buttons – In Stock Here
Sentiment – Studio G
Glass Gems – Dew Drops
Tools – Sewing Machine, Distress Inks and Martha Stewart Punch

003

Well I hope that you like sweet Dexter, why not pop over to the challenge blog and have a go at the delish sketch, you are in for the chance of winning some of these mighty fine Motivet Stamps.

Enjoy your day, come rain, hail or shine!

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge – A Brown Paper Bag

Morning all! Hope that you are all well today.

Boy have we got a fab challenge for you today, over at Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge we would like you to make a card from a Paper Bag, yes that’s right, a Paper Bag LOL. Rach came up with the awesome idea, and I loved making mine, so much so I have ordered some more bags to have another go with. So thanks sweetie! Now this challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and they are offering a whopping $50 to spend in there online Store, how cool is that?????

I apologise now for the amount of piccy’s there are, but I wanted to show you everything, and boy there is a lot of parts to this card LOL, so here goes!

001
Materials :

Images – Magnolia all coloured with Poly and Prisma Pencils
Papers – MME Laundry Line, they are all glittery and I used 2 whole sheets…tut tut!
Lace – In Stock Here
Pins – Large ones stash {will be stocking these soon too} and the small ones In Stock Here
Flowers – Hobby Craft, Prima and Stash
Pearl Trim – Haberdashery Shop
Pearls – PM
Tags – Cuttlebug Die
Buttons – Woodware
Sentiments – Studio G and Elzybell
Tools – Sewing Machine, Nesties, Leone Em Punch and Martha Stewart Flourish Punch

002

Close up of the flowers, I have given them a squirt of glimmer mist to make them sparkle.

003
Here’s the inside, this is the first time poor Edwin has had an airing, don’t really do many men's cards, but I thought he worked well on the inside of this card.

004
If you leave the end of the bag open you can hide little treasures in there, I have made a few tags to hide in mine.

006
These are the little tags, just love this watering can, it looks so nice on its own. The sentiment is by Elzybells and I think it works perfectly on a Magnolia card, because Tilda and Edwin are Angels.

007
Couple of close ups of the tags, you can see the sentiment better if you click on the piccy.

008 009

……..and finally here is a piccy of the back, so I have well and truly decorated all 4 sides LOL.

010

Well, are you still with me after all those piccy’s LOL! Hope you enjoyed having a look at my paper bag card, why not pop over to the challenge blog and check out everyone else's, they are too gorgeous for words.

Much love to you all!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #38 – Sketch by Katharina

Afternoon all, hope that you all had a fab weekend!

Today I want to show you a card that I did yesterday for the Whiff of Joy Challenge. This weeks challenge is a fabulous sketch by Katharina and I loved using it. I decided to ink up one of my older WOJ images for a change, and this little Melinda is one of my faves. Have you seen the new WOJ Fall kit going on sale for pre-order this Friday, looks like it is definitely a must have. Been awhile since I joined in the WOJ challenges, but I found some time to take part, at one time I used enter this every week with out fail…….if only there were more hours in the day LOL.

The pleated flowers, I have made myself out of some velvet ribbon and a few pearls. I just love the ones that Maya Road do, but struggle so much to get hold of them, …like gold dust! So me being me thought, lets make some LOL. Really easy to do, just a case of stitching down one side of a length of ribbon and then gathering the stitches up and stitching together. Finishing off with a little pearl in the middle……voila one pleated blossom.

001
Materials :

Image – WOJ coloured with Distress Inks
Papers – Basic Grey Periphery
Flowers – Made from Velvet Ribbon by me LOL
Pearls – PM
Pins – In Stock here
Lace – In Stock here
Tools – Sewing Machine, Martha Stewart Heart Lace Punch {In stock Here}, Distress Inks.

002
Here is a close up of the pleated blossoms, they really were a pleasure to make!

003

Well that’s all from me today, thanks for stopping by, so very much appreciated! Catch you all tomorrow for Project of the Month at Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge Blog, the DT have been working really hard and you are in for a real treat!

Much love to you all!
