Hey lovelies, hope your doing well!

Thought that I would pop on and share another Magnolia card with you…….loving this new Crazy Love Collection…..so many stamps that can be used for so many occasions……fab when its like that :o)….this one I have used is called Tilda Sending Love Letters.

I have gone for the narrower card again today…..I have a funny feeling that this shape is my new fave, as just knocking those 2cm off the width makes it some much easier for me to fill with all my embellies……and you know me Tab loves her embellies :oD LOL……

………so then, do you like the papers that I have used {that's if you can see them under the sea of embellies LOL} I found them when I was on one of my Pinterest sprees, and they are from Here……and do you know what the best bit is…..they were freebies :oD….there are a few others in different colour ways too, so go check out the rest….but I have to say they printed out beautifully and found them very true to colour too {on my printer that is, remember different printers can vary}

The colours I have used tie in with the challenge over at the Ribbon Girl blog…..its Blue and Pink….not long left to join in so hop on over and take a peak :o)….whilst you are there, have a look at the Giveaway that is on offer too……..little felt mice pincushions made by Gail…..tooooooooo cute for words!

I stamped and coloured the image on Kraft card, ….I find when colouring on Kraft card you have to keep going, as to be honest when you start it doesn’t look great but as you add further colour all of a sudden it starts to pull together and look half decent LOL……I very nearly threw this away, but I carried on and it came out not too bad in the end.

Do you like the Pleated Satin Ribbon……I {HEART} it so much, and if you want any its from the Ribbon Girl, as is the lovely White Cotton Lace, Heart Charm, Crown Pin, Crazy White Mesh {love this stuff so much {its poking out of the flowers}, so need to get some more in other colours}, and the mini Rose Buds.

The rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft and the Doily is from The Hobby House.

The sentiment and butterflies inside are by Magnolia, and the Carte Postal Stamps and all the border stamps are by Stempelglade.

I have coloured Tilda with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

The inside has been decorated very very simply using some of the Stempelglade stamps and my fave Magnolia Butterflies.

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning, lovelies! How are we all today…..did ya have a good weekend?!? Mine was good, little bit of yarn shopping, lots of hooky and a little bit of relaxing…….all fitted in between the usual weekend chores of cleaning and food shopping…..so all in all, not a bad one :o)…..one thing I can be sure of it certainly went super duper fast!

I realised yesterday evening that it has been a whole week since I blogged last…….OMW, how bad of me….not sure why I have not been on to post really, cos I have tons of things to share…….actually that is a lie, I do know why I have not posted LOL……..I have developed a terrible addiction to Pinterest LOL……and my trouble is that I get so engrossed in it, that I just plain old forget about what is going on around me and before I now it there is no decent light to take any pics and the evening is upon us……..I must strive to work harder at getting my blog more organised and sort things out in advanced when there is good light :o)…….and leave the darn Pinterest alone LOL………I have had my account for absolutely ages and ages now, so its not a new thing to me….but each day I get more addicted to looking at all the wonderful things. Plus I then find a new blog or pattern for something and off I go again on another trail LOL……no hope for me!!

Anyway, enough jabbering on…..as it will be bedtime before I get this post finished LOL

I have gone for a slightly different shape card…..I fancied a change from square LOL……this one is 13 x 15cm and I have to say I really like them this size. The sweet image is by Magnolia and from the New Crazy Love Collection…..Pie Tilda, she looks deep in thoughts………

How gorgeous is that Blue Stripy Ribbon……utterly delish, me thinks and if you want some its from the Ribbon Girl……along with the Crown Pins, Rose Buds, Large Button {this was from one of the mixed bags}, Button Twin and not sure if you can see it but behind the flowers there is this totally fabulous White Mesh, just sprouting out {its hard to see it as its against a white background……but it is gorge stuff, deffo recommend you all getting some :o)

The papers are a mix of Craft Creations and I think the stars one is out of a multi-pack….perhaps Forever Friends of something like that….I got it from my local craft shop and they split the packs up and then forget who makes them LOL….

The Die Cut border is by Magnolia as is the Star Border Stamp.

Tilda has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

I have very lightly decorated the inside to compliment the front……I have using one of the Mini Magnolia stamps inside too….they are so perfect for decorating the inside of cards.

My All Your Wishes Come True………

Good Morning, lovelies!

Hope I find you all well today on this rather damp and drizzly day. Thankfully it is not as cold as yesterday, but I have to say I much preferred the dry crispness of the air yesterday…plus as well the sun was shining and that really does help with the old mood…doesn’t it?

Well today I thought that I would share with you another Magnolia card that I have been working on :o)……Now I have used one of the Sweet Dreams Christmas images, Tilda with Winter Flowers…….I have to admit that she is my fave from the Christmas Collection……I absolutely {HEART} her….such a gorgeous image, totally and utterly love her little cardy….tooooo cute!

Anyway, I thought that I would go all pink for this one and have teamed her up with some gorge Raspberry Road Digi Papers…..these are from Fight Like a Girl Collection and it is deffo one of my fave collections, such a delish shade of PINKNESS!!!!

My pics have a slight darkness to them today, cos the light is totally and utterly PANTS!

Anyway, the delish Vintage Cluny Lace, and Seam Binding are from the Ribbon Girl.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, The fence die cut is by Magnolia. The sentiment is by Elzybells {sadly no longer trading} The cheesecloth is from my stash.

I have coloured lovely Tilda with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

All the papers have had their edges distressed with Walnut Stain and I have stitched them all with my sewing machine.

For the inside, I just kept it plain simple by just adding a little Mini Magnolia image…….I love the mini’s they are perfect for adding detail to the insides :o)

Well that is all from me today, I am off now to bake a Giant Cupcake for an order, and then later this afternoon I must get on with some hooky work. I have a number of orders to plough through and plus a few things to finish off. I did over Christmas finish a big granny blanket that I was working on last year…….I MADE myself finish it off as I was determined to not start the new year with last years WIPS still not finished LOL…….even all the weaving in of ends has been done…..I loathe that job LOL, and one of my New Years Ressie’s was to make sure I did it as I went along and not leave them all till the end…..so far I have stuck to it too :o) I will get some pictures taken of it soon and share them :o)

Ribbon Girl Challenge #15 – Blue and Pink

Good Morning, my lovelies….Happy Happy Sunday to you all! Hope that you are all doing well and enjoying the weekend! Its rather cold and frosting here today, but I kinda like it when we have had a frost looks soooooo very pretty outside :o)

Anyway, today sees the start of a new challenge over at the Ribbon Girl and this time we want to see your creations following the theme of Blue and Pink :o)

and this is what you lovelies can win :oD…..ooooh how gorge is that kit…love it!

and also……..

For my project this month, I decided to get hooky again, and make a bear :o)…….been a little neglectfully of the old bears of late as I think I made that many last year….and I find with my bears that I work so much better when I just randomly make one, ……..they flow so much better than work to specific requirements……. I have to say that thoroughly enjoyed working on this little beauty…….

Her name is Rose, and she is a taller bear to what I normally do……she measures about 10ish inches or so.

All the embellies are from the Ribbon Girl and they are as follows :-

She has been crocheted in soft DK and 4 Ply Yarn, her eyes are made of glass and she has been stuffed using high quality super soft fibre stuffing. I crocheted her using a 1.75mm and 2mm hooks.

Now she was suppose to have a pair of shoes too…….I still need to add those, but dozy here, broken her 2mm hook and only managed to get a replacement yesterday. I have soooooooooo many hooks, and many in the same size, except a 2mm, I only had one of those LOL…….and it was not a particularly good one either cos it snapped LOL…so I replaced it with better ones :o)…….my fave hooks at the moment are the Clover Soft Touch ones…..sadly they are a horrible goldy colour, and so not very nice to look at, but they are super nice to use. I can not understand what made them make them in that awful colour…..I reckon anything would have been better :o)……….LOL….now if they had been red spotty then I would have been as happy as a pig in poop!

Afternoon lovelies! Hope I find you well today…….oh boy oh boy, what I wonderful feeling to know its FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!! These week seems to have been a long old week, but you can almost touch the weekend :oD

So what have you all got planned…….I have the usual chores to do tomorrow morning, but then in the afternoon I am going off to do a bit of sneaky yarn shopping, LOL can’t wait, nothing quite like touching all those lovely soft yarns and matching shades together….so exciting :o)

Anyway, I thought that I would pop on today and share a card with you all that I have made using one of the delish new stamps by Magnolia from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection. This cutie is called Tilda with Wrapped Heart and it was a Christmas Present from the lovely peeps at Magnolia, along with some other delish goodies too {so lucky}

I have used my new camera to take these pictures, and I love how clear they have come out :o)…….for a change LOL

The gorgeous Mulberry Pretty Blossom Flowers, Mulberry Open Roses, Two Tone Mulberry Open Roses and Mulberry Rose Buds are from the Ribbon Girl, as is the beautiful Vintage Style Cluny Lace, and the Crown Pin.

The butterfly is a Martha Stewart Punch, the sentiment is by Magnolia, as is the Lovely Lace Doohicky Die

The papers are by Melissa Frances.

Tilda has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

I have very lightly decorated the inside to compliment the front.

Happy New Year {sorry at bit late LOL}

Afternoon my lovelies……..hope that you are all doing well and had a good Christmas and New Year…….apologies for my absence but I have had the awful lurgy last week and so the crafty workshop door never got opened, let alone me sit at the desk LOL….the most I did last week was a bit of crocheting in front of the telly and trust me that nearly wore me out. Thankfully though now I have recovered almost to full working order, still got a little tickly cough but other than that I am good. I worked out the other day when I last had a cold and it was nearly 4 years ago…..so that is not bad going, eh?…….I know I am a rather good when it comes to illness and so its not often I get struck down with much…..she says LOL…….

Thanks to everyone asking about my Pop and Mum, both are well……Pops has gone back to work and everything…….he is only doing a couple of days a week, but hey its a massive massive achievement in just over a month since his stroke. To be honest once they sorted out his eyesight, this helped with his balance and it all kinda fell together with some Physio :o)…….Mum is better too, the op went well and all is good :o)….thanks for all your kind emails and comments about them.

Anyways I thought that it was about time I fired up the old blog and post something as its been awhile. I have so many things to share that I never got round to due to illness and Christmas, so I thought that I would start with a card :o) that I made before Christmas………talking of Christmas, I was very very lucky this year as Santa bought me a new camera :oD…….I am now the proud owner of a Nikon DSLR and I am still grinning from ear to ear……I have had an DSLR before, but sadly it died before Christmas and so since then I have been using my iphone, and the pictures weren’t bad, but I could tell the difference, they were just not as crisp…………anyway, I have not took this picture with my new camera, cos its was a card I made before I had it……..but I have been having a play and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it :oD

Enough waffle, here is my card…….I have used one of the older Magnolia images, which you can only get direct from Magnolia…….but I love the image :o)

The papers are by Magnolia too, as is the Star Border and the doohicky die tag.

The Spotty Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl. The rose ribbon is from The Hobby House and the butterfly and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The border punch is by Martha Stewart.

The image has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

This is one of my fave colour combos, and I love this shape of card too :o)

Well that’s it from me today got to get back on!……..got so much going on in my work life too at the moment, my little Etsy Shop is doing well {needs restocking ASAP LOL} and I am also doing well with orders through my Facebook page too……..on the cake front, that is also growing from strength to strength as well, and my diary is filling up with some cake orders over the next few months too :o)…….who knew I would be able to make a little living from the things that I love………who knew….not me that’s for sure :oD…..but I can honestly say that I am very very happy and blessed :o)…….fingers crossed it works out well :o)

Merry Christmas!

Hellllllo my lovelies!

Hope that you are all ready for the big man in the red suit tonight :oD....LOL......I am ready as I will ever been.....all the veg is prepped, all the baking done, house clean and tidy, and I have even painted me toe nails and finger nails red with sparkles, hee hee!

Anyway, I just wanted to pop on and wish everyone one of my lovely followers a wonderful Christmas! Hope that you are all spoilt rotten tomorrow and that Santa is good to you :o), and you all have a amazing time with your family and friends!

Little Teddy Bear has hung his stocking on the fireplace ready for Santa's visit tonight LOL.......bless, mind the way he has behaved this week there might be a lump of coal in it come morning LOL.........ahhhh, not really....rest assured Santa has been good to him :oD

Yoooooohoooo……

Evening, my lovelies :o)

How are you all doing with your Christmas preps…..mine are going well…..been baking for most of the day today and also tomorrow too. My poor feet are killing me LOL….what are we like eh? All the pressies are wrapped, thank goodness, food shopping coming tomorrow night {totally couldn’t face the masses, so internet food shopping all the way}……so just the cooking to do and we should be there :o)

I have had a number of cake orders to do and one of them was a Christmas Cake. Now they wanted a traditional colour scheme, but left me with free reign of the design and as I am learning to make sugar flowers at the moment…..I thought I would go with some roses :o)

Here is what I came up with….hope that you like :o)

Everything is glittered and shimmered to with in an each of its life LOL……nothing knew there then, I hear you say LOL. The flowers are made from flower paste, which you can buy, but in this case I made it

I have more cakes to share with you, just got to finish them off and take some pictures. Tomorrow is cupcake day, I have many many boxes to fill. Some for presents, but most are for orders, so I will share those with you soon.

Before I go, I thought that I would share a couple of pictures of my little Teddy Bear…….twice this week he has been a naughty little Bear…..up to his old tricks of digging holes in the garden again…..I am at my wits end with him….I have found out why he does it, he is digging up worms…….I know totally and utterly gross…..I found this out as when I went out yesterday there were nearly 10 on the patio in a not very good state :o(……..sad I know as worms are good for the garden. I don’t think he is eating them, but it looks like he is playing with them….poor worms.

Anyway here are a couple snaps of him after the event……..LOL

He was cross in this picture, cos I wouldn’t let him in LOL…….I know mean Mammy, but honestly would you want this in your nice clean house LOL………{don’t worry he didn’t stay out long……I fetched him in and he had to stop in the utility till he was dry.}

Now in this picture, Boss caught him mid-dig……the hole was that big he had his whole head in it LOL…….

He wouldn’t look at the camera or me……..naughty little Bear!

I keep telling him that Santa is watching ALL of the time, and if he doesn’t behave then he won’t get any pressies…….I doubt he will take any notice LOL……..little devil. He knows that something is going off, as I am not doing the things I normally do and he is not getting the attention he normally gets either…..so he is being lot more naughty than normal LOL. He has been a nightmare with the Christmas trees too, he keeps going underneath them, and I have lost count of how many decorations I have had to chase after him for. I have my main tree in the lounge and for a change, we have a real Christmas tree, just a small one in the dining room {never had one before}…….and I kept watering it, but every time I looked the water had gone from the tray………couldn’t understand what was going on, I just thought that we had a thirsty tree LOL………until the other day when I caught a certain furry Bear having a drink out of the tray…..honest to god, I wouldn’t mind but he had fresh water down, but obviously prefers tree water LOL. This is his first proper Christmas as last year he was only 10 weeks old, and didn’t really bother with the trees, just slept, ate and pooped LOL……….can’t wait for pressie opening this year…….he will go mad with all the paper LOL……

I will try and blog again before the big day….I have been pants at it lately…..but once the festivities are out of the way, I shall be back to normal LOL……

The Ribbon Girl Colour Challnge #14

Good Evening, my lovelies!

Apologies for my lateness today, its just been one of those days where I have been chancing my tail from the moment I opened my eyes this morning LOL.......don't you just love days like that LOL.....

Anyway, with out further ado, today sees the start of another challenge over at The Ribbon Girl....and this weeks challenge we would like to see you use Red Black and Cream :o)

As always fab prizes to be won too......we have a £10 Voucher for Lili of the Valley......plus two ribbon kits from The Ribbon Girls :o)

Here is what I have made...its a little crochet hat.... its a basic hat pattern which I altered to make a brim.....it kinda reminds me of a straw hat LOL.....it is to fit a newborn, so it is rather dinky :o)

Th red and black spotty ribbon, cream cluney lace and sparkly button are from The Ribbon Girl.

Sorry that I have not been about this last week.....I have still been creating though, but just not blogging.......so I have things to share with you soon. It has been rather a busy week for me......I have decorated 7 Christmas Cakes.....made lots lots of Cupcakes for orders, and this weeks looks about the same too LOL......I have 2 more Christmas Cakes to decorate, plus 10 Cupcake orders to fulfil.....so busy busy busy.......its a good job I enjoy it......piccies to follow.....promise :o)

Plus.....we fetched my Pops, on Friday to stay till after Crimbo....he is doing well....walking is improving everyday....he now has a walking stick, which is helping loads with his balance, so all being well everything is looking good :o)

Got a busy day ahead today......I am decorating 7 Christmas Cakes at my MIL......I can feel some achy arms coming on tonight LOL.......I have been making some sugar flowers {my new hobby LOL.....not that I need anymore LOL} over the last few weeks for one of the cakes.....so all being well I will have pictures to share soon with you all :o)

Tomorrow I have a cupcake order to do.......MO, is something pretty for a 65th Wedding Anniversary........well as 65th does not have an official colour, so to speak {trust me I have scoured the Internet LOL}....then I think I may go with Peaches and Cream....want do you think?....fingers crossed they turn out how they look in my head LOL.........

With Love……….

Well I do apologise for my absence…..I have been writing this post for 2 days now and still I have only just published it LOL……shocking……..I kept getting side tracked with other things….but anyway, here I am with a card to share.

I made this card last week when my Magnolia Stamp Club Kit arrived…..and boy oh boy are these new images to die for :o)…….I adore each and everyone of them, and just had to ink one up….I have no idea what she is called yet or when they will be released for individual sale, but I am sure it won’t be long now.

I just love these colours together…….mmmmm delish {it is dark brown and not black LOL}…….and if you noticed I have used some of that fab Tim Holtz Film Stripe in my flowers, took me ages to get hold of some…ordered it from the US in the end and it worked out cheaper, even with postage than in the UK LOL….go figure LOL…….but I am having terrible trouble getting it back in the little tin it comes in……I can’t get it small enough and it keeps popping out my hands and shooting around the table LOL……I gave up in the end as it seemed an impossible task LOL…….and one for a day when I had more patience LOL.

The beautiful cream picot cotton lace, sparkly aqua glitter organza ribbon, sparkly button, button twine, and flower charm are all from The Ribbon Girl.

The flowers and gems are from The Hobby House. The pearl sprays are from my local craft shop. The papers are by Melissa Francis.

I have coloured Tilda in with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with sansodor.

I have added a little bit of decoration to the inside. The stamp inside is by Magnolia too.

Well I think that is all from me today…..

Just to let you all know that, I shall be listing a very special Crochet Cupcake later today in my Etsy Shop…….all of the proceeds from the Cupcake will be donated to the Fundraiser that Claudia is leading for Brandon……it is an excellent cause that is very close to dear Claudia’s heart…..and it has touched many of us in blog land, which was why I decided to make the Cupcake for such a fab cause :o)

Gorgeous Lace @ The Ribbon Girl

Good Morning....me lovelies!

Hope you are all having a fab weekend!.......I am just waiting for my new Fridge to be delivered and then I am off out to start my Christmas Shopping.......I know I can not believe that I have not started it yet OMG......but hopefully by tonight I will have most of it done :o).......fingers crossed!

Anyway I am just popping on to share with you some more delish new lace from The Ribbon Girl.......I am in lacy heaven at the moment....honestly it is truly to die for :o).....but had to be restrained and not buy too much as I don't think the rellies would appreciate lace for their Crimbo pressie this year LOL.......me on the other hand, would love it LOL....

Me again LOL........I have a card to share...thought that I had better get back on the Christmas Card Train and pop another one out LOL......to be fair I don't make that many really not anymore, but I still have a handful to go :o)

Before I carry on, just want to say thanks to everyone for letting me know the name of yesterdays papers....they are by GCD Studios and are called Joyful Peace .......thanks guys your all stars :o)

I have used one of the gorgeous Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet for Whimsey Stamps.....this one is called Winter Fairy,and how cute is she...love the little robin, too sweet!

The gorgeous white cotton lace, seam binding, bell charm, spotty button, button twine and crown pin are all from The Ribbon Girl......and are all totally delish too :o)

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is an old Elzybells one. The papers are by Magnolia. The clock is a die by Tim Holtz and the little pearl spray is from my local craft shop.

The image has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils.

I have lightly decorated the inside,

Twas the Night Before Christmas.......

Afternoon, me lovelies……..hope your doing well :o)

As promised I am back with a card…..but not my usual image, I must say! I was having a dig about in my stamp boxes and I found some old Clarity Stamps……..Twas the night before Christmas, ………there are 4 stamps in total, but you buy them separately……..I have had them years and years.

The style of card is a criss cross card, so the middle pulls out for you to write your message on.

The papers are from my local crafts shop….there is no name on them, but I would love to know who makes them….they are double sided, and have a linen texture to them……so nice….I have a feeling them are from a pack of papers, hence no name on them…..but the women in the shop didn’t know :o(….so if anyone does I would be so grateful to know :o)

The gorgeous sparkly glitter ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft, the red berries are from Hobbycraft. The white pearl spray was from my local craft shop. The border punch is by Martha Stewart and the hinge die cut…is actually one of the arms off the vintage clock die by Tim Holtz…..I used it too for the little pull things at the top, just folded it in half :o)

The stamp in the inside is by Clarity Stamps too, and can be found HERE……..I thought it worked perfectly with the image on the front :o)

My Few of My Fave Things!

Hello my lovelies!

I hope that I find you all well today. First up I want to say a massive huge thank you to everyone for the lovely emails, phone calls and comments with regards to my Pops and Mum…..means a lot and I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Pop’s is still in hospital and he is being to transferred to one nearer to his home….still a million miles from us, but a least its is closer to his home and friends can visit much easily….plus at least we can now stay at his house. He has been having some intense Physio this last week and is making some good progress. His walking is improving slowly, which is good and his eyes are too, they have fitted a film to his glasses and that is helping loads and he feels lots better now he can see better. I have absolutely no idea when is will be out of hospital and they are now talking of sending him to a rehab facility to help with his recovery, but that is not yet for definite, so will have to wait and see.

As for Mum, well she is sat waiting to find out if her op is going ahead cos it should be tomorrow and well with all these strikes…..who knows what will happen tomorrow……..I tell you, if its not one this its another at the minute………

I feel so out of sorts its untrue and I just want a little normality, but I can not see that coming anytime soon…….to top things off we came home on Sunday to find the fridge freezer had gone and died, ………how rude!…….and the darn thing fused the whole house :o(……I am now living out of a cool box….thankfully it is electric so everything is chilled…..but I need to make a trip to Curry’s to get a new one, I have looked online but I need to see them in the flesh…..when I will do that is anyone's guess LOL……not even bought a single Christmas present yet :o/

Anyway, today I felt a little sorry for myself, and wondered what I could to cheer myself up a bit and thought that I would have a walk around the house and take pics of a few of my fave things that make me smile each day…..by the time I have finished I felt a little better about things and there were one or two little smiles that creeped up on my face :o)…….I thought that I would share them with you.

Now I have a new app on my iphone and I love it!……its called Hipstamatic……and it is way cool. It changes the way your pics look and gives them a real vintage look…….

…….if you click the picture it will go bigger, so you can see it better. The little roses are sugar roses that I made a few weeks ago…..been practising ready for when I make my next cupcakes etc. I have a few custom order in December to do….and really looking forward to doing them.

There is a little pattern forming amongst the pictures, don’t you think LOL………yes, I do love spots and red LOL………even my little slippers are spotty LOL………and you may also notice that I have put my Christmas Tree up too LOL…….well I needed a little pick me up and well what a fab way to do it by putting your tree up. It is early I know, but who cares ………..NOT ME!!!!!!!

Anyway, I have been doing a little crafting here and there……..I actually made a card today, woohoo!……which I will blog tomorrow…..plus I have been crocheting……..really finding the crocheting very therapeutic and plus it is easy to transport about with me….especially on road trips to the hospital…its a 6 hrs round trip :o(…..a gal needs a bit of calmness in her life at the moment and the crocheting is so providing that :o)

Here are a few little things I have been working on…….Lip Balm Cosies, which includes a lip balm inside too………..aren’t they cute!

Most of the buttons are from my stash, with exception of the two spotty ones, pink and red ,are from The Ribbon Girl.....

These are For Sale…….they are £4.50 plus £2 P+P {they are quite chunky, and so have to go as a parcel, but you can get a few in an envelope for £2}……..they measure about 7.5cm long {excluding clip} and 2.7cm wide, so they are quite chunky.

They clip onto your bag/purse, keys etc, so no more hunting around in your bag for your lip balm LOL.

Sorry for Being Quiet........

Hello my lovely friends.....really sorry for being quiet this week....but my lovely lovely Pop was admitted to hospital on Tuesday, after suffering a Stroke :o(

Thankfully, it was not as bad as we originally thought......he can now communicate with us like normal and his mind etc is working fine......the problem he has is his legs they just are not working in the way they should so he is going to have to have lots of physio to get them working again, but the hospital are positive that things will get back to normal, its just going to take some time........ He is leaning to left too now, but they say that all that can be corrected with some physio too :o)......

The hardest part has been being so far away from him.....its a 6 hour round trip, and with him being at work when it happened they took him to Chester Hospital, so its not near to his home for us to stay there......but they are hoping that when he is discharged that he can come and stay with us so that he has round the clock help. The trouble is trying to convince my Pops, cos he just doesn't want to be a burden....but I would rather have him at home with me than have strangers look after him.....not that they wouldn't do a good job, but he is my Pop and I want to do it.

It has come as such a shock when that phone call came as you never think its going to happen to your own Pops.....but I am just thankful that it was not any worse than it was, because some of the poor souls that were on his ward just didn't seem to know what was going on......it was heartbreaking :o)......

It really has been one of those months really, we had a funeral to go to yesterday, Leigh's......lovely Uncle Colin, plus this week it was a year since we lost our lovely Billy boy......and then my Mum has been tooing and froing from the hospital too this week for more medical appointments as she has another op next week on her breast.....thankfully this time its just to make both of them look the same from when she has the Cancer removed last year....but still, it's still an op and still carries it risk....so all in all I shall be glad when November is over..... :o(

On a lighter note LOL......just want to let everyone know who has ordered stamps recently that they have all been posted out now....so hopefully they will be with you all shortly :o).......thanks so much to everyone who as bought some.....I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel LOL......the big pile is going down LOL. I shall keep them updated on the For Sale page for anyone who still wants some.

I have got crafty things to share, as prior to hearing about my Pops, I had been planning on blogging a few things....so I will share those with you soon.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends....hope that you all have a wonderful day with your friends and family :o)

The Ribbon Girl Challenge #13 – Pink and White

Good morning, me lovelies! Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at The Ribbon Girl. The colour combo is Pink and White…..delish!

The prize for the challenge is a gorge Pink and White kit………and ………a £10 voucher from Lili of the Valley Stamps :oD

I decided to make a fabric hanging heart for my project…..A while ago I bought this gorgeous gingham check fabric, and I have dying to use it but like with everything else didn’t want to cut into it LOL…..but when this challenge came along I thought it was about time to fetch it out and get cutting…..I wouldn’t mind but I have loads of it too LOL….

I crocheted around the edges of the heart, and made a little flower in white cotton yarn. The rest of the embellishments are from The Ribbon Girl :-

Happy Friday!

Good Afternoon, me lovelies and Happy Friday to you all!

I am soooooooooo looking forward to tonight, its one of my fave nights of the year…….Children in Need, love watching it on the telly…..and I always stay up to see the grand total raised on the night….love it!

Anyway……I am so glad that the weekend is just around the corner, its been a busy old week at Chez Tab. After posting the Christmas Crochet items on Wednesday, here and on my Facebook Page, I have been inundated with orders plus I sold what was listed on Etsy too :o) ………..total shock or what….nice shock, but not at all what I was expecting :oD….so a MASSIVE thank to all that placed orders and to those that showed interest in ordering too …so very much appreciated.

……so I have been very busy with the old crochet hook, and it has been so much fun,….there are going to be lots of warm tiny toes this Christmas :o)………I am still accepting orders, so if anyone wants to place an order with me, then please feel free to email via the contact tab at the top.

Right, enough crochet talk….today I got up super duper early so that I could have a couple of hours in my crafty space before work started. I love crafting in the quiet, you get so much more done LOL……

I am having lots of fun routing through my Magnolia Stamps Box, and I keep finding little ones that have not seen any ink….I know naughty, but I am working my way through them :o)……... Her name is , Tilda with Cherries, and I have teamed her up with some new delish Raspberry Road Papers called Sweet Briar….and I have to say I am in love, they are truly beautiful papers…..but then aren’t all Raspberry Road papers :o).

The beautiful white cotton lace is from The Ribbon Girl and I adore it….so need to get me some more LOL…..The green rose trim, flowers, charm and pins are from The Hobby House {if you would like any then Jill will take orders over the telephone}

The sentiment is an old Elyzbel {gosh I miss that stamp company}

Tilda has been coloured using a mixture of Primsacolor Pencils and Copics.

The inside has been decorated very simply by using Tilda’s Butterflies {my fave butterflies by Magnolia}

Starburst Cushion

Good morning, my lovelies!

Just a quick post to share my newest crochet creation :o)……….I finished it the other day and I am chuffed to bits with the end result………… and I am naming it my Starburst Cushion!

I know when it comes to my cards, I am a vintage girl at heart……but trust me when I say that there is a bright girl trying to get out LOL……I am very drawn to these colours, but find it hard to use them on a card, so they come out in my crocheting…….most definitely my guilty pleasure :o)

The little buttons that I have used to fasten the cushion are little roses, too cute!

Morning, lovely ones! Hope you are all well on the eve of the weekend!

Well the Christmas cards didn’t last long LOL….already moved off them LOL…..but I will be back on them again next week….just fancied having a little play :o)

I have used King Tilda…love this stamp and now I have stamped and coloured her I love her even more :o)…….I fancied making a different shape card for a change, and this one was so fun to make and easy too.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The White Cotton Lace and the White Spotty Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl. The butterflies are by Pion Design. The papers are by Craft Creations. The border is a Martha Stewart Punch.

I keep forgetting to write what stamps I use around the image, I keep getting asked this loads LOL….sorry peeps, it is a set by Stempelglade – Vintage Garden……..I just tend to grab one of the stamps and stamp around the edge.

I have coloured King Tilda in with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

I love blue, especially these shades of blue.

Sweet Christmas Dreams

……well I finally have a card to share……yayyyyyy…….I managed to get crafty late yesterday afternoon and I thought that I should get a few more Christmas Cards made…..soooooo behind again, but what’s new, eh? LOL…….I gave up many years ago in trying to make all my Crimbo cards…..I think it was the year that I was still sticking and gluing on Christmas Eve morning LOL…….. and so now, I only make a few to send to close family and dear friends……..I mean at the end of the day not everyone likes handmade, do they….

Anyway, for this card I used one for the new Tilda’s from the latest Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection by Magnolia…..she is a real sweetie and most deffo one of my faves :o)

The papers are by Magnolia, and I think they are from last years Christmas Collection. The flowers are from Hobbycraft, Magnolia and Wild Orchid Craft. The red spiral thing is from Magnolia.

The red berries are my newest purchase and I got them from Hobbycraft at the weekend…your got a big bunch for £1 {I think?}. The Spotty Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the Pearl Brad, Doily, and the Snowflake Charm is from The Hobby House. {please note that at the moment The Hobby House are only taking phone orders}

I have coloured Tilda with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

I have decorated the inside to compliment the front……very simply LOL. The holly image is also by Magnolia and called Christmas Love Holly {too cute} and its also from the Sweet Dreams Collection.

Well that is it for me today, I shall be back tomorrow with another card :o)…….plus I shall be sharing my cushion sometime this week too, as I finished it last night and I have to say that I am looking forward to making another one soon :o)…..I really enjoyed!

Have Ya Missed Me..............

.........LOL......probably not LOL......but if you have I have not disappeared off the face of the earth....honest. After my little trip away, the next Magnolia Ink deadline loomed a little quicker than I had originally thoughts {dumbo here looked at last years deadline list instead of this years, so thought I had more time than I did LOL}.....anyways, rather than battle to do my cards and projects for that and try to update my blog too, I decided to just get on with my maggie stuff........and to be honest it worked out so much better.......so I think in future that is what I will do.......so if I disappeared again then you now where I am LOL.......thanks for all the messages and emails asking after me......you are all so kind :o)

I did do some other crafty projects too over the last week, I made 2 Christmas cakes........plus I am nearly at the end of my crochet blanket, and I made a cushion too...but still need to get a cushion pad to put in it before I can take a picture. I have made some crochet hearts for my Christmas tree.....still got lots more to make LOL............

Teddy's first proper bonfire night didn't got too badly {his first one with us anyway}.........he tried to get under the sofa a few times and he spent most of the night squidged in between me and Leigh and every now and then let out a bark.....just to show that he was not scared LOL........its strange as our Billy never bothered at all with fireworks, slept through the lot.....but little Teddy Boy is a completely different kettle of fish, bless him...but at least its over now.....well for another year anyway.

Anyway I would have blogged yesterday, with a card as I planned to have a little crafty sess.......BUT some rotter decided to break into Leigh's car on Sunday night, so I spent all of yesterday trying to sort things out and to be honest I was so upset by it that I couldn't concentrate on a thing. Everything that was taken is replaceable, but its not the point they were things that I had bought for Leigh for his birthday and Christmas last year and they had sentimental value. OOoooh it makes me so mad, these people think that they can take want ever they want, and bugger to the poor sods that work hard to pay for it. They think its alright cos I can claim on the insurance, but I still have to pay the excess out. What makes me even madder is two of the things that were taken {SatNav and MP3} are useless as they didn't take the chargers so what was the point.........and before anyone says "You shouldn't leave them in on view in your car" they were hidden in the glove box.........perhaps the moral of the story don't leave anything in the card at all.......well that is what I will be doing from now on. The daft part was my hubby had left some cash in the car, and they left that LOL.......

It has left me uneasy to think someone has riffled through your things, touched our stuff and claimed it for themselves........I hate it :o(.........I suppose it could have been worst though, they could have actually taken the car or come in the house for that matter.....I suppose there is always a bright side to look on in every situation.

Anyway, today I am going to get on with my normal work and then hopefully have a little crafty sess this afternoon sometime......I have lots to do, so I really need to get on. With Christmas only a few weeks away I need to get cracking on some more Crimbo things :o)

Sweet Christmas Dreams – Ribbon Tilda!

Happy Happy Friday to you all!

Yayyyy, been looking forward to this Friday, as I am off to Blackpool to see the lights……..I have not been for years and years and years….my Gran used to live there when we were little so it was a favourite haunt of our families……so it will be nice to go back and re-live some family memories :o)

Anyway, just want to say a massive thank you for all the lovely emails and comments that I got on yesterday’s post……you are so kind to me :o)

Well lets get down to business, today on my card I have used one of the gorgeous stamps from the latest Magnolia Stamp Club – Ribbon Tilda……what a little cutie patootie she is……Now this stamp can deffo be used for any occasion, which is perfect….

I have, however, used her for a Christmas Card LOL……but I have used non traditional colours LOL….

The papers are some I have had for years and years, but have never wanted to chop them up LOL…..they are by Craftwork Cards and I think I picked them up from one of the shows I went too. Looking at their website, though, it doesn’t look like they make them anymore :o(

I have some super fab news to share........my card has been featured on the front of the Christmas Edition of Magnolia Ink Magazine...........YEAHHHHHHHHH! I can't quite believe it, I have been apart of the magazine since the beginning and to be featured on the front cover is like a dream come true for me. I always ADORE making the Christmas issue and this has just made it extra special for me.....

Pretty Little Things!

……..don’t you just love Pretty, Pretty things…….I know I do, drawn to them like a magnetic, I am :oD…….so I thought I would share a Pretty little Magnolia Card with you today.

Oh the joy of digging around in my Magnolia Stamp Box and pulling out a stamp that has not seen ink for awhile, it’s like getting a brand new stamps……really does give me the same amount of joy :oD

On today’s card I have used Ballerina Tilda…….oh boy does she hit the Pretty Factor!!!!!!….such a gorgeous image and deffo one of my faves!

I teamed her up with the most delish papers by Melissa Francis, she sure knows how to make pretty papers! I got these from Dunelm Mill of all places.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The seam binding, white lace and the crown pin are both from The Ribbon Girl, and the metal flowers, doily, heart pin and fancy pearl are from The Hobby House.

The decorative border is a Magnolia Doohickey Die. The sentiment is by Papermania

The image has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and Copics.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.

Well that all from me today, I am having a little sess with my sewing machine this afternoon {got to make it earns its keep LOL}……so hopefully I will be back with something fabric to share soon! I also have a new crochet blanket on the go too {night-time shift work LOL}….so hopefully I can share that soon too.

Tuesday’s Chatter………

….afternoon, me lovelies……..oh my, it was wonderful to see the beautiful sun high in the sky this morning, I have managed to get washing dry on the line in October….something that rarely happens, but there is nothing quite like line dried washing….the smell of your fave washing powder mixed with the beautiful smell of the garden, as you pull your jump over head of a morning is a great way to start the day :o)…..bliss!

……..well after yesterdays birthday boy antics, little Teddy Bear spent most of last night in this comatose state, LOL….only shifting for the obligatory food and bathroom break……..seriously this dog went twice when they were giving hair out LOL….

I have some more crocheting to share today, this time we finally have some little boy shoes :oD………I have eventually found a design that I like and here they are……..Button Loafers, too cute or what!

These are size 0-3 months, they are super dinky ;o)

We are still decorating, so crafting time is very limited as the house is upside down :o(……but I do have a little something cardy to share tomorrow…….yayyyyyy!

Happy Birthday to my dear dear Teddy Bear!

……..well I hope that I find you all well today, its my gorgeous handsome Teddy Bears birthday today, and he is a big fat 1……boy oh boy where has that last year gone, as much as I loved him as a little pup, I do love the little dog that he has grown into more, he is such a little tinker at times, but such a big bundle of love too….who I ADORE with all my heart!……..Happy Birthday, little bear….love you lots and lots like jelly tots!

…….bless, you might think, but already today we have had two finger wagging sessions…….ooooooh he has been playing me up this morning…..tut tut tut………

…….so what has my little bear been up to, well to begin with, I was cutting up some fabric and as I was putting the scraps in the bin…..he was busy fetching them out and scattering them around the lounge, and doing the odd fairy dance around with them too, there were bits or soggy thread and material everywhere YUK!…….once he was bored of that he decided to try and get on the dining room table after me new yarn, and he very nearly succeeded twice, but Mam was soon there to rescue her recent purchase of yarn, which is now safely stowed away for another day……….but that did not stop him wanting to get on the table, Oh No, so we now have all the 6 dining room chairs tipped forward onto their front legs against the table, in the hope that little Teddy Bear soon gets the hint that……….DOGS, HOWEVER CUTE, DO NOT BELONG ON THE DINING ROOM TABLE…………

………..and then to top matters off he has been barking and yapping at everything, ……….dog, cat, person, car and bike that has dared go passed the window, and at one point he was stood in the window trying to bark at the post women with a pair of Leigh’s boxer shorts in his mouth…….thankfully clean ones, I am pleased to say, but none the less the postie now knows what under crackers my hubby wears LOL………its all good fun, eh?

Anyway, we are decorating at the moment, so no card to share :o(……but I have been crocheting so I will share a new friend to with you all………………….what is it I hear you ask, well its a Flumplebee, of course LOL…..!

A little bit unusual, I know, but I love her…..such a sweet little face…….she will be sitting on my work desk to keep me company during the day :o)……….a certain fluffy someone, has already eyed her up once or twice, so I have to be careful where she lives LOL……..

Well that’s all from me today, I have lots of WIP’s {work in progress’s} to get finished so I must go and get on…….the little bear is fast asleep on the coffee table, after his morning of birthday fun…..yes I know very bad of him to be on the coffee table, but I was so fed up with telling him off on his birthday, that I didn’t have the heart to move him and risk waking the little devil up LOL, so whilst its quite I may even be able to get some yarn out and do a bit of hooky later too…….

The Ribbon Girl Challenge 12

Good Afternoon, me lovelies!

Well the date went well peeps, LOL…..had a fab night out. Leigh took me for a lovely meal, and it was delish :o)…….bring on the next one!

Anyway today sees the start of Challenge #12 over at The Ribbon Girl……and this months challenge is

Lilac and Green!

Delish colour combo, new one for me, but I do like it :o)

Now I went for a more pastel lilac and green and decided to crochet a little pair of Mary Jane’s and make a matching box.

I have used some Lilac Medium Crown Pin, Flower Sparkly Acrylic Buttons, Aqua Scallop Cotton Lace, and Lilac Scallop Cotton Lace

Not sure who makes the paper, I got it from my local craft shop and I have a feeling it was from a pack that they opened up, its pink spotty on the other side {love me spots}. The flowers are from Hobbycraft and the metal flower and pearls are from The Hobby House.

The sentiment is by Whiff of Joy.

The shoes are size 6-9 months, and would make the perfect little treat for a little one.

Hokey Pokey……..

Good Afternoon, me lovelies…..how are we all doing today! Good, I hope…..ooooh you can almost touch the weekend, its that close……yayyyyy!

I am off out on a date tonight with my lovely jubbly hubby tonight ! We can’t decided what to do though…..its been awhile since we went on a date LOL…..but its something we have decided to start doing more often, cos I think its nice to take a step back from day to day life, and go do something for ourselves :o)…….well that's what I think LOL………..Anyways, I am really excited about tonight, it’s making me feel about 16 again when we first starting dating,……… its so much fun deciding what to wear, how to do your hair, painting your nails and pampering yourself…….ooooooh, I will deffo pop back tomorrow to tell you how it went, hee hee hee……………

Anyway, enough date talk time for a card…….now I ordered some of those Nellie Snellen, cuties the other week and shamefully have only just got round to inking them. I started off with Hokey Pokey, now I have to say as much as I like these images, they are a wee bit small for me and my fat colouring LOL……I only just managed to stay in the lines LOL……..I do really like them, so I will persevere, but I do think some stamps are deffo getting smaller.

{Sorry for the dodgy picture, I hate photographing red, that pom pom trim is not really orange, its red LOL}

Sweet Christmas Dreams…….

Good afternoon, my crafty lovelies….hope your doing ok today!

Well last week my Magnolia Stamp Club Kit landed on my doorstep and well I thought it was about time I got it inked :o)……..I ADORE this kit with all my heart….its truly gorgeous! I have forced myself to get on with some Christmassy projects as other than my Magnolia Ink work I have yet to made anything………shock horror, I know, but I am a last minute kinda gal and always leave everything to the final hour LOL…….but I thought that I would make a change this year…….she says LOL!

Anyway, this image is called Sweet Christmas Tilda and can be Pre-Ordered from HERE…….along with all the rest of the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection.

I had a go a colouring on Kraft card, and it was quite fun….however I think I need to invest in some better card as I am not entirely sure that what I used is Kraft Card LOL……..I reckon its just beige card and it took a bit of blending to get it how I like it LOL………but heyho, its not bad LOL…..

{Sorry for how bright the ribbon came out, it is soooooooooo not that orange in real life LOL, it matches a whole lot better LOL}

The paper is by Magnolia, as are the flowers and the spirally thing too……..they came in one of my Magnolia Ink DT kits, and I had a few left over. The ribbon and the mesh stuff was in the kit too……the only thing that was not from Magnolia was the gold butterfly, and that was from The Hobby House.

I have coloured the image with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor

The tag is removable, and I have shamefully decorated the inside LOL….I say shamefully, as the decoration consists of a single image LOL………well its better than nothing LOL……

Yum Yum………

Good afternoon, me lovelies!

I hope that I find you well today, and that you all had a good weekend! Boy oh boy don’t weekends go super duper fast…..fasted 2 days of the week, I reckon! Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon sorting my yarn out, and trying to get it into some sort of order……there were bags and bags of the stuff, it seemed to be multiplying before my eyes LOL……..and there was a certain little Teddy Bear that kept poking his nose in to see what was up for grabs…..little devil LOL………

Here he is trying his best to look like a good boy “Mam, I am not trying to pinch your yarn, honest!”

LOL……….he always has such a serious face, bless him LOL….he is in need of a trim to tidy him up a bit, but its like trying to give a hair cut of a fluffy crocodile LOL……..but I need to do it as its his 1st birthday on the 17th October, ………..he will be a big boy :o)

Anyway, due to my sorting out yesterday and keeping the Teddy Bear away from me yarn, I sadly have no card to share, but I thought that I would pop on and share some piccies of my recent cupcake orders that I have had.

The boxes below contain 4 different types of cupcakes, Lemon, and Vanilla……..and Ferraro Roche and Double Chocolate. The house smelt delish whilst they were cooking, especially when the chocolate and lemon ones went in………yum yum!

I also thought that I would share a few garden pictures too, these are few flowers that are currently in bloom. The garden is moving from pinks and whites to lilacs and mauves and it looks beautiful against the Autumn leaves. Some of fuchsias are still flowering too, but sadly they are coming to an end…..I shall miss them, they are such gorgeous flowers.

Something Pretty!

Good afternoon, me lovelies!

Happy, happy FRIDAY, to you all……oh I love Friday’s, best day of the week as you have the excitement of what the weekend will hold….lazy get ups, indulgent treats plus the thought of being able to do what you want for 2 whole days……ooooooh I can’t wait :o))))

Right, I was meant to pop on yesterday and share a bit of crocheting with you that I finished last week……..but it just never worked out, didn’t even get into the old crafty space at all yesterday, not even a walk in and walk out :o( LOL ……….hoping to change that today though. Anyway, I fancied having a go at a crochet blanket and got so engrossed in it that I sat one night till 2am crocheting away……I know most of you think I am a nutter, but when you have so much passion for something it is really hard to put it down……well that’s what I keep telling myself LOL…..

I wanted to make something really girly, and when I was in the yarn shop the other week, these gorgeous colours just popped out at me…….they remind me of Opal Fruits {or Starbursts as they are called now LOL}…………the blanket is made using Double Knit yarn, and I think the colour choices that we have nowadays are fabulous. At one time yarns used to be basic colour shades and that was it, but now there are some absolutely gorgeous shades about. Plus as well the yarns have got so much softer, especially double knit yarns…..I was looking at some old yarn I had the other day and it was not half as soft as the new ones that I had bought.

The pattern for this blanket is a really really basic one, in fact there is not official pattern, I just started out with a straight forward Granny Square, and I just kept going round and round until I achieved the size I wanted. It not a practically big blanket, it measures 32” square, but its perfect size for a baby’s pram or cot blanket, or to put over a child’s lap in a pushchair to keep the chill off.

I LOVE the fact that crocheting and knitting has become fashionable again, and the old styles are being revamped with delish new colour pallets…….it makes me so happy to have crocheted things around my home, gives your house that homely feel.

At the moment I am working on a cushion and I can not wait to share it with you all, its a little different to the norm, but its fab!

Tilda – A Gift From the Heart……..

Good morning, me lovelies!

Another Beauty of a day again……..oh my I hope it last till the weekend :o)

Today I have a sweet little Magnolia Tilda card to share with you all……..been rummaging around again in that stamp box of mine, and found a little sweet Tilda that had need seen the light of day for a while….this one is called Tilda with Pencils and she is stood next to a Pile of Covered Books.

I teamed her up with some super delish Raspberry Road Papers, called Made with Love. Oh my how I adore to see Red and Turquoise together, it is such a yummy combo. {Note to self…..GET MORE RED FLOWERS….LOL…..}

I have used some gorgeous Glitter Organza Ribbon and a Sparkly Button ,they work perfectly together. Plus I have added a Medium Cream Crown Pin, and some Button Twine all from The Ribbon Girl.

The Pale Turquoise, Beige, and Metal Flowers are from The Hobby House. Jill has the most beautiful shades of flowers and they are all colour co-ordinated with many of the other embellies that she sells………..I love these soft turquoise ones, truly divine.

The Lily flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft.

The sentiment is by Magnolia and the stamp around the edge of the image and inside is by Stempelglade – Vintage Garden.

The inside has been decorated very simply {getting a bit lazy where the insides are concerned LOL, never mind at least there is something there}

Before I go I just wanted to share a picture of my little devil, he was caught in the act yesterday of digging a hole in the flower bed LOL………Leigh had emptied the old tomato grow bags on the bed the night before, and some one decided that the fresh soil looked far too good not to have a dig in it LOL………but I don’t think he banked on getting caught by Mam, who was sat in the conservatory LOL…….

He had just started to dig when I took this, hence the chunks of soil behind him on the grass LOL………so naughty, yet so very cute….you know, I have a hard time telling him off…….

The Ribbon Girl Jingle all the Way to Christmas Challenge!

Wow talk about a total change around in the weather yesterday. After typing my post the sun appeared and it was glorious :oD......same again today, just beautiful! Hope you are all having some sun too!

Just wanted to pop on, and share with you that The Ribbon Girl will be hosting a Jingle all the Way to Christmas Challenge on the run up to the big day. Each challenge will start on the 25th of each month, and run for a couple of weeks.

Of course there will be prizes too, hee hee

Good Morning, me lovelies!

Wow that heat wave was shorted lived LOL….woke up this morning to grey sky and damp ground…now there’s a surprise, I did a rake load of washing last night too, ready to hang out so those darn grey clouds better hold on to what they have till my washing is dry LOL………

Got a super busy day ahead today……..the kitchen is in full swing with a very large order of cupcakes for a birthday party. For today’s card I used on of my super cute Sylvia Zet for SCACD stamps that I got from Elaine’s last week…..this little sweet is called Veritas……and I think she is adorable :o)

I have teamed her up with some new papers from Raspberry Road Design called Autumn Splendour, they go with this image perfectly……me thinks!

The beautiful rose ribbon is from The Hobby House, and it comes in a variety of colours, now I know its not on the website, but Jill is more than happy to take orders over the phone or she will have it at the craft shows that they attend {which I think is a good majority of them}

The Lilac Scallop Cotton Lace, and Lilac Medium Crown Pin are from The Ribbon Girl and the flowers are from Hobby Craft and Wild Orchid Crafts.

The stamp around the edge is by Stempelglade – Vintage Garden

The image has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor.

The inside has been decorated very simply, using the same edge stamp as used on the front.

A Few Recent Makes!

Morning me lovelies!

Wow what a beautiful day it is today…….looks like this heat wave we are meant to be having might be true after all LOL……..Hope that you all have had a wonderful weekend, sorry not posted for a few days, got a bit side tracked with one thing and another and before I knew it, it was Monday morning again LOL

Anyway, today I thought that I would share with you a few of my recent crocheting makes…….my fingers have been beavering away of an evening making bits and bobs for my Etsy Shop……..oh I do adore my crocheting….it is so therapeutic….LOVE IT!

Here are a few hats that I have made……..most are age 0-3 months in size, but can be made bigger if need be….

These bottom two, in the blue and cream…….they are inspired by my recent holiday in Cornwall….the one on the right is like the traditional Cornish Ware {love that stuff} and the one on the left is sailor-ish :o)

Now the next photo’s are of a couple of decorative items for the home and both can be used as pincushions :o)

The elephant is quite big, he measures H5”, by W7.”, by L5.5….all of the measurements are done at the widest parts. The pincushion at the bottom measures H3” by W4”, again measured from the widest parts.

All of the items in the above picture can be made to order in different colours, and apart from the elephant and pincushion, different sizes too.

Before I go….. I want to share a little something with you all…….I had a lovely email yesterday from a gorgeous blogging friend called NJ, who has started doing regular features on her delish blog each month, and her newest feature is My Favourite Blog of the Month……and she asked if I would like to be her first guest to feature. I was absolutely made up when she asked me and of course my answer was Yes! Now nothing could have prepared me for the lovely post that she wrote and it brought tears to my eyes, I can tell ya! Picnic in the Park, anyone????

Good Afternoon, me lovelies!

Hope that I find you all well on this wonderful Thursday! Life over in my part of the world is grand, been a busy old week, but hey aren’t they all these days LOL

Well today I have a little something different for you to feast your eyes on. As I told you in yesterday’s post, I have a new toy to play about with………and that toy is called Craft Artist Platinum Edition by Serif. I was a little sceptical when I first saw it as I have had these types of software before, and I have not been very keen………….BUT, I put it through its paces and have had a good old play………..and all I can say is OMG…..its fabulous!!!!!!!!……WOW……..

Here is what I have made so far………yes and I say so far….there will be more to come :oD

LOOK, LOOK………cupcake wrappers and toppers……..I am in heaven. I have wanted something like this for such a long time, as those cupcake wrappers are SOOOOOOOOO….expensive to buy its untrue!!!!!…Now I make me own :OD You get to different styles, scallop edge and zigzag edge and then you just add your choice of background and trust there are tons to choose from, and I mean tons :o)))))

I made this little set up last night, and it contains just a small few of all the fab templates that you can make with this software. The programme contains 5 CDs and covers the majority of topics from Baby’s to Weddings etc etc………. you name its there.

The CD’s contain templates for Scrapbook layouts, Cards, Invitations, Favours, Gift Bags, RSVP Cards, Envelopes, Menu Cards, Table Plans, Gifts, Photobooks, Albums, Gift Sets, Tags, Labels, Posters, Party Kits, Table Decorations, Journals, Cake Toppers, Cupcake Wrappers, Confetti Cones, Confetti Stands, Popup Cards, Bunting, Certificates, Flyers, Inserts and Photo Cards……….phew, there is loads!

For every single template you can select backgrounds, embellishments, sentiments, alphabets etc etc from the tons of digi kits that are available on the CD’s and there are also free ones that you can get online too. For the things I made, I used Picnic in the Park kit……I loved it, as it has a soft vintage feel to it. There a lot of vintagey papers etc on this kit, which is a super duper bonus for me……

{All the ladybugs are little buttons by Craftime, except for the ones on the cupcakes, they are sugar paste……….and can you see my super duper small ladybug on a rock…….too cute….Leigh bought me that from the NEC, the year I demo’ed on the Magnolia Stand :oD….he is such a sweetie}

The invitation that I made started out life as a blank 5” square card and I added the background paper, and all the other elements to it and then printed it off. To finish I just added a couple a flowers and a ladybug. I made this so quickly by just added the layers where I wanted and resized them if needed…….honestly it was so simple. I found the programme very easy to use, ………I just basically loaded the CD’s onto my computer and just played around, but if your not like me and want to watch a demo then there are lots of tutorials to get you started. There are also lots of projects that are already made for you and you can either use them as they are or tweak them to fit your needs.

………..which is what I did with this scrapbook layout. I have also admired these digi layouts you see, {I mean have you seen some of the lady’s work, that I design with at Raspberry Road, their layouts are just unbelievable}, ……….but I have often felt a little overwhelmed when I try to make one. I tend to use Photoshop and at times I just find it way too complicated, and I end up giving up :o(. However, I had a play around with them in Craft Artist, and I found it so much easier as there are prompts etc to help , and things just seem so much more straight forward :o) Obviously, you can only work with the digi kits by Craft Artist, but even so there are so many to choose from, and there are even free ones that you can download.

I was trying to find something that I could find fault with whilst playing about with the software, but its funny cos as yet I have found nothing that bugs me, which is unusual……..I suppose if I was to really really dig deep, then I would say that I would have preferred the CD case to be plastic rather than card board LOL……..see I told you I was struggling LOL……….if anything I am still grinning from ear to ear about the cupcake wrappers LOL……..I know little things, but I am so chuffed LOL…….

Well I hope you liked what I have shared today, I can see my copy of Craft Artist getting worn out just for those Cupcake Wrappers alone LOL…….. I shall deffo also be playing about more with those scrapbook layouts……..I spied a dog themed one earlier so I would imagine my little Teddy Bear will be getting featured in a fancy layout before much longer LOL……

A Little Forest Elf…………

Good morning, lovelies!

Hope that I find you well today……..the day has started out beautiful, the sun is high in the sky and so far…..all is well :o)

Today I would like to share with a little card that I have made using one of Sylvia Zet’s digi images – Forest Elf. I ADORE Sylvia’s images, and this one is just too sweet for words…….and I must say a pleasure to colour too :o) Dozy here, was on her holidays when the Sylvia Zet’s SCACD stamps were released, so missed them :o( ……………but they are on order from Elaine @ Quixotic Paperie, so all is well :o)

Of course I had to team her up with some delish Raspberry Road Design papers, just would have been rude not too :o)…….these ones are from a new kit called Autumn Apples, …………………..and they are perfect as well to tie in with this months The Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge of Brown and Green, so it meant I got to use some more delish Ribbon Girl Stash too……….whoop whoop!

I have used some delish Brown and White Check Gingham Ribbon, Cream Cotton Lace, Silver Colour Charm Star and a Green Leaf Pin……all for The Ribbon Girl

The Metal Flowers, Brad and the Pearls are from The Hobby House.

I have used the Tim Holtz Weathered Clock Die and the Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch.

The flowers and Small Metal Corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts

The image has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor. I have added little gems to all the little flowers, unfortunately you can’t see them very well :o(

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front. The stamps around the image and inside is by Stempelglade – Grunge Collection……and then are back in stock at Quixotic Paperie

Christening Card

Good Morning, me lovelies! Hope that your all doing well today :o)……..well fingers crossed I should be backed to posting normally again now, I have missed my crafts these last couple of weeks and it was so nice to get back in the crafty corner yesterday :o)…….I had a little bit of new stash waiting for me on my table, and that always helps to get the creative juices flowing.

Right so today's card is similar to one I did before I went on my holidays, not the same mind cos I never make the same card twice LOL, just similar…….this one is for a Christening. Well I had to use the Magnolia Sleeping Baby Tilda image again, its rare for me to use the same image so soon after the first time, but needs must in this case LOL…..and it is such a sweet image.

I teamed her up with some delish Raspberry Road Design Papers – Cute as a Button, such pretty papers!

The Sparkly Button, White Flat Lace and Petite Crown Pin are from The Ribbon Girl. The Metal Flowers are from The Hobby House. The sentiment is computer generated. The border stamp is from Stempelglade – Grunge Collection. {Back in stock at Quixotic Paperie}

The flowers and the small metal corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The image has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor. I have added some stickles to her wings and top.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.

All the flowers have been glimmer and glamoured to within an inch of their lives LOL

Before I forget there is a certain someone that wants to say “hello”…….he was loitering around underneath where I was taking my pictures and kept bobbing his head up, as much to say “don’t for get me, mam, I want a picture too” LOL…….

He does have a pair of eyes, honest, his hair on his head and nose grows at an alarming rate LOL…..

Well today sees the start of a new Challenge over at The Ribbon Girl and this months colours are Green and Brown chosen by Jo Kill.

Here is what I have made……….a Mint Choc Chip Crochet Cupcake!

I have used some delish Ribbon Girl goodies 22mm Cream and Green Check Gingham Ribbon, 16mm Brown Tea Dyed Check Cotton Ribbon, Brown Hat Pins, and Sparkly Flower Acrylic Button.

The green pearls are also pins that I got from my local haberdashery shop. The yarn I have used is DK acrylic yarn, in green, brown and beige.

I folded the gorgeous brown tea dyed checked cotton ribbon in half and then stitched along the opened edge to make a thinner ribbon, which fitted perfectly around the cupcake.

I can’t tell you have much I enjoyed making this little cupcake for this challenge, I loved working with the colours…..gonna deffo use them again :o)

Hi all!

Just wanted to let you know quickly that I am back from my holidays, but I have gone and got a nasty infection in the gum around one of my wisdom teeth........I am not one for getting sick at all, but I can honestly say I feel terrible, so until the antibiotics kick in, and the pain goes I am not going to be about in blog land.

Good Afternoon, me lovelies!

Happy Friday to you all, well if Mr Blogger is behaving himself then you should be reading a post from me now as I am officially on my holibobs, yayyyyyyyyyyyy!…….

Today I want to share with you a card that I have made using one of the new images from Teddy Bo and Co this week! The image is called Sending you a Note, and is too cute for words. I love how Gayle has fluffed up his fur coat, it makes him look more cuddly!

I have teamed him up with some delish new papers from Raspberry Road Design, called Family Matters. There are gorgeous colours and designs in this kit, totally love it!

Also Raspberry Road Design are having a Labour Day Sale between the 2nd-5th September, and so everything in store is 50%…..wooooohoooooo, go on go and fill ya boots :o)

The flowers and pins are from The Hobby House, the gorgeous Cotton Lace is from The Ribbon Girl.

The button and cord are from stash and the sentiment is an old Elzybels one, oh I do miss that company for my sentiment stamps :o(

Welcome Little One!

Good Morning, me lovelies!

Wow got up this morning I felt like I had woken up in a different country LOL……..pure blue skies and glorious sunshine. Massive difference to what we have had for the last few days, it was that cold on Tuesday I had to put the heating on in the evening LOL……not sure I have done that in August for a few years.

Anyway, didn’t think I would be posting before me holibobs, but I had a last minute card to make for my MIL, so did a bit of late night working to get it done LOL……and I also managed to get a card done for tomorrow as well……woooohooooo, I know get me.

My MIL wanted a neutral new baby card, and I knew exactly which image to use :o) Magnolia’s Sleeping Baby Tilda, so sweet.

The papers are from a rather old Colorbox Pad, called Sweet Baby, I say old I have had it ages but it was unopened, I know how bad is that :oO

The flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the metal corner. The metal flowers, doily and pearls are from The Hobby House. The Lace and Seaming Binding is from Creative Treasures, and the sentiment is out of the same pack as the papers. The border stamp is by Stempelglade – Grunge Collection.

The sentiment on the inside is by Whiff of Joy.

Baby Tilda has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils blended with Sansodor. I have added stickles to her wings and edges of her top.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.

Teddy Bo Tuesday - New Graphics!

Morning me lovelies!

Hope I find you well after the lovely long weekend we have just had.......love bank holidays, but they sure do go super fast! Having said that I am not too sad as on Friday I am going off on my holidays for just over a week.......boy oh boy it can not come soon enough......I have been super busy of late and the break will be just what the doctor ordered :o)))))

This week is kinda manic, as I have lots of bits and bobs to finish off and get done before Friday, which includes my Magnolia Ink stuff....got to get it photographed and posted off to its new home. Its my fave issue that we have been working on.......CHRISTMAS.......love doing that one :o)))) There is also loads of washing and packing to be done.....plus I like to clean the house from top to bottom and strip all the beds, so that when we return its all ship shape :o) and nothing has to be done LOL. I sure don't like to make life easy for myself that is for sure LOL.

Anyway, unfortunately I have nothing to share with you all today other than this weeks Teddy Bo and Co new graphics........oooooooh and they are just too gorge for words. I am in the process of colouring some up, and I am in love with the little Teddy Bo's with the large envelopes, just too cute.

I am trying to get a few things done to share with you all this week, as I think it may be a little quiet again next, but have no fear once the holidays are finished I shall be back all systems go :o).......its always a funny time of the year, what with all the lovely weather, and holidays I never seem to get to post as much. Autumn and Winter are deffo better months for crafting, ....well for me anyway, and feel much more creative and productive :o) at that time of the year.......

TGI Friday!

Good morning me lovelies!

Hope you are all doing well today! Yayyyyyyyy, its Friday…..but booooooo its raining :o(…..LOL …..feel all cooped up today, and Teddy keeps whinging at the door cos he wants to play out, most deffo an out door dog my Teddy Boy……loves it, spends most of the day roaming around the garden looking for mischief LOL.

Anyway, I would share a card with you all today, as Team B hosted the challenge on Tuesday over at Teddy Bo and Co, Team A gets to post cards on Friday if they wish, so I thought that I would have a go at the challenge this week. I so have to say that I found the challenge hard as Black and White are not really my cuppa, but I did enjoy having a go. My extra colour I chose beige/cream. I found these delish DCWV Le Crème stack papers that had hardly been touched, and it was those that gave me the idea of the extra colour.

I used Teddy Bo image – Bo Baby. Even though the image is a baby image I think it works with this grown up colour combo.

The Sheer Blooms and Seam Binding is from Creative Treasures. The paper flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft. The Pin and Metal Flowers are from The Hobby House. The button is from stash.

The sentiment is by Magnolia {my fave}, as is the star border too.

Bo has been coloured in using Prismacolor Pencils, blended with sansodor.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front. I printed the image again, but changed the colour from black to pale grey.

Well that’s all from me today, still working on my Magnolia Ink stuff, but I can see the light at the other end LOL……in other words I am nearly there :o)

Just For You……..

Good morning me lovelies!

Wow that bit or rain we had yesterday has made way today for some seriously glorious pure blue skies and trust me when I say its hot, hot, hot…

Anyway, I broke away from my Magnolia Ink stuff yesterday to have a little play as my poor old blog was looking rather sad as there have been no cards since last week :o(…….anyway to make up for that I have made a card using the rather sweet little Tilda with a Violin. Now shamefully I have only just got round to using this Tilda, well I say that I stamped her out ages ago and just not coloured her in…..I know shame on me!!!!!

Now I have gone with a cream and brown colour combo as when I saw the new For the Record digi papers over at Raspberry Road Design I just had to use them……….they are utterly divine.

Now all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft, the delish pin and gingham ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl. The lace is from stash.

The pearl button is from The Hobby House as are the pearls and the metal butterfly is from Wild Orchid Crafts too.

The border stamps are by Stempelglade and the set is the Grunge Collection.

I have coloured Tilda with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor. I have added touches of stickles here and there.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front and if you look at the picture below {you may need to enlarge it} you can see the papers better, trust me they are delish!

Teddy Bo Tuesday!

Good morning.me lovelies!

Hope that you are all well today. Its raining cats and dogs here today, but I don't mind so much cos it makes me do my work LOL. Still Magnolia Inking, I did really well last week, but kinda hit a bit of a brick wall this week LOL....yesterday I am just going to write off, as I seemed to lose everything and spent most of the day searching for things.....hate days like that LOL....no sooner had I found one thing I was looking for something else LOL.

Anyway, here are this weeks graphics over at Teddy Bo and Co, today also sees the start of a new challenge which is being hosted by Team B, the theme is Black, White and one other colour....good one eh? Team B have done some fabulous work, you must pop over to the blog and have a look.

Afternoon, me lovelies!

Hope that I find you all well and enjoying the sunshine today :o).....sorry for not being around, I am working on my Magnolia Ink stuff, so nothing to post :o(.......I have some crochet makes to share with you over the weekend.

Anyway the reason for today's post is there is some exciting news over at Teddy Bo Towers......Yes, you can now get some of the gorge Teddy Bo and Bea stamps in rubber now........woohooooooooooo!

Its all very exciting, plus there is a super delish paper pack too.......I must admit the paper designs are right up my street, and the pack contains three yummy colour ways too :o)

Go on off you go and fill ya boots at Teddybo and Co, before they all sell out ...........I cannot tell you how fab these images are to work with :o)

Teddy Bo Tuesday!

Good Morning, crafty friends!

How are we all today! Apologies for no post yesterday, its Magnolia Ink time, so posts might be a bit sparse for the next week or so, but I will do my best to bring you something when I can :o)

Anyway its Tuesday, so you know what that means………….Teddy Bo Tuesday and new graphics :o)))))))…..boy oh boy are you in for a treat this week!

I have used Baby Bea – Scratchy {Scratchy is the type of drawing she is, not that she is scratchy LOL}….these new “scratchy” graphics that Gayle is doing are fabulous to colour and I think it makes them look even more cuddly :o).

I have gone with a pale pink and white colour combo, thought I would so something different as just lately everything seems to be blue and beige LOL…..not that I mind as its my fave combo, but variety is the spice of life after all!

The papers are ?!?!?!…….I haven’t a clue, I bought them from my local craft shop in the sale and there was no name on them, which leads me to think that they are probably from a pack of papers at some stage……….where ever they are from I can never resist spotty papers, especially pink ones :o))))))

The Sheer Blooms, Ribbon and Daisy Blossoms are from Creative Treasures. I love those Sheer Blooms, they are fab for mixing in with your paper flowers :o)))

The rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Metal Flowers are from The Hobby House, the pin is from The Ribbon Girl and the button is from stash.

I have coloured Bea with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with Sansodor. I have added stickles to her too, but unfortunately I changed my ink cartridges in my printer and the ink has ran a tad where I have added the stickles :o(……..never had this before as I use stickles on all my images that I print out. All I can think is its a different type of ink been used in the cartridge…..oh well it doesn’t look too bad!

I have very basically added some detail to the inside. The sentiment is by Elzybell, sadly they are no longer around anymore. Such a shame too as their stamps were fabulous. This one is deffo one my faves and works well with any teddy bear stamps.

Crocheting Makes!

Helllllooooo, me lovelies!

Hope that you are having a fab start to the weekend! Just thought that I would pop and share with you my recent crocheting makes.

I seem to have caught the bug big time at the minute…..mind had a bit of a disaster yesterday, due to a naughty little Teddy Bear!!!!! A month or so back I treated myself to a set of bamboo crochet hooks, and last night the little devil stole one and chew it to within an inch of its life….grrrrr……ooooh I wanted to cry, but I suppose to him he thought it was a nice tasty stick that Mam had left out and thought he would have a bit of a chew. It was my own fault, I will learn. After the incident with the wool a few months back I always make sure that it is out of the way and kept sealed in a bag, especially now that I sell my makes, ……..will have to make extra sure now that my crochet hooks are now too LOL.

I decided to circulate this picture to warn other crocheters that there is a Crochet Hook Bandit on the loose LOL…….and not to be taken in by his cuteness LOL

Here is a picture of the crime, there is no way I can crochet with that now LOL…the wool will just snag on it. The whole reason I bought the bamboo ones was because of their smoothness when crocheting LOL.

Anyway, here is what I have been busy making, lots and lots of hats :o)

They are all size 0-3 months and are made using super chunky soft yarn. The yarns are of various makes, Sirdar, Wendy and Twilleys of Stamford. Some are 100% Wool, some are Wool/Alpaca Mix and some are Wool/Acrylic Mix, but all of them are really really soft.

Cherish Your Heart!

Good Morning, my lovelies!

Yayyyyyyyy its Friday, ooooh I am looking forward to the weekend, not sure what’s on the cards as yet other than the usual chores, but I am looking forward to it.

Its been a busy week this week in the House of Tab, and my crafty fingers have been working like the speed of lightening…..there has been lots of candles burning to the wee hours I can tell you…….but I LOVE what I do, so its worth the bags under the eyes or should I say suitcases LOL…….I am more than sure that I will pay for it somewhere along the line LOL.

Anyway enough waffle, today I have more hearts for you, which I made for The Hobby House :o)…….now I decided to join the these two together, as the little one was a little tidgy on its own, but afterward I thought,……oooh the little ones would make lovely decorations for you xmas tree, just the right size….and I think hearts on your tree look gorgeous :o).

As with the one from the other day, I think this would make the perfect wedding gift or perhaps for an anniversary…….even a nice little friendship or mother’s day gift too…..the options are endless.

Again as with the one the other day, majority of the embellies came from The Hobby House, as are the actual wooden hearts.

I painted the hearts with white acrylic paint, and then sanded them down with some sandpaper to distress the edges. I added little liquid pearl dots all the way around the edges and sprayed them both with pearl glimmer mist.

The sentiment is by Whiff of Joy .

Shabby Chic Magnolia Card

Helloooooo, me lovelies! How are we all today, good I hope!

Today I have a Magnolia card to share with you all. I was having a rummage through my stamps and I thought it was about time this little beauty, Tilda Blowing Bubbles, saw the light of day again. She really is a pretty little Tilda and I am very fond of her :o)

Both the images are by Magnolia. The little pale blue daisy blossoms are from Creative Treasures as is the lace and the ribbon.

The rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the little metal corner. The little pin is from The Ribbon Girl ,and the little metal flowers and pearls are from The Hobby House. The cheesecloth is from a friend.

The image has been coloured Prismacolor pencils, blended with Sansodor. Plus I have added touches of stickles to her wings and dress.

The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.

The flowers have been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and dusted with crystal glamour dust, plus I have added touches of stickles here and there too.

oooooooh before I forget, I have been asked a couple of questions and just thought that I would answer them here so that anyone else wondering gets to know.

I was asked what card I use to print my Teddy Bo/Beas on, well I use the smoothest card that I can get, at the moment I am using some that I got from my local stationers, it didn’t have an actual name, just smooth card. Anything that is subtle for markers/copics is good with pencils. My printer hates my card, so I am crafty and fool it by printing the image on normal printer paper, then I cut a piece of my card to fit the printed image and tape it over the top, then I run it through the printer again and it prints on to the card rather than the paper, works a treat every time. If I try to put the whole sheet of card through, my printer coughs and splutters and won’t take it, darn thing!

The other question I was asked is what colours did I use for the shorts on Bea. I used Mediterranean Blue, with a bit of grey for the shadows {can’t remember which grey though, sorry}. I use light umber and dark umber for the actual bears themselves. Hope that helps all :o)

Perfect Love – Altered Heart

Helloooooo, me lovelies! Hope that your all good :o)

Today I have a little altered heart to share with you all. Jill @ The Hobby House is stocking some delish wooden hearts and she sent me 3 to alter, and here is the first one. This is the biggest out of the 3, measuring 11.5cm at the widest part and 11cm in height. I have given this one a vintage wedding theme, and thought it would make the perfect gift to be given to a bride on her Wedding Day. Also hearts are really popular at the moment to hang around your home, and these make the perfect little hanging decorations to hang off door handles, or on a little row of coat hooks :o)…….I love hearts!

I painted the heart with some white acrylic paint, and the sanded in with some sand paper to age it. Then I rub some distress ink over the edges to age it further. The fabric rose is from a strip of the them, and I just snipped one off. The flowers, {paper and metal} are from The Hobby House, as is the lace and the pearls. The paper is First Edition Paper – Summer Breeze…….I love these papers, they are almost gone now :o(….I don’t think I have ever used a pad of paper as much as these before LOL. These can also be bought from The Hobby House. {Most of what I have used is not on the website yet, but Jill is more than happy to take orders over the phone.}

I sprayed the whole heart with glimmer mist, and I have added some liquid pearls and stickles around the edges too….I love doing this I used to do loads when I first started to craft many moons ago, it nice to remember an old favourite :o)

The sentiment is by Whiff of Joy and butterfly is a Martha Stewart Punch. The little sparkly heart button {at base of ribbon} is from The Ribbon Girl :o)
